Community Picnic

Come join us and get to know your neighbors at our Community Picnic on June 26th at 1p.m.! Our picnic will be held behind the Community Building at our new BBQ/picnic area surrounding our Water Wheel. We will have hamburgers and hotdogs and all the fixin’s! Doug Richardson’s “Barnyard in a box” petting zoo will be here, as well. So bring your kids and grandkids for food and fun! Please RSVP to the office or your block captain to give us an idea of how many will attend. Hope to see you all there!

Internet Savvy

Are you Internet Savvy? Here at the office we are working more and more with the ‘net every day. We have a well -established website, WaterWheelCommunity.com and now we are on Facebook! Please visit our Water Wheel Community page and become a fan. Park info as well as Village and School info will be posted on this page as well as anything you would like to share. If you are not on Facebook and would like to be go to www.facebook.com and start a FREE account, or contact the office and Lisa or Nancy can assist you in setting up an account. Also, for those of you with a laptop but no internet we have WIFI available at the Community Building for you to come down and use. Please contact the office to make arrangements.

It’s A Beautiful Day For A Walk!

Over the winter and beginning this spring we have been working hard to clear a large picnic and nature area west of the dam that includes newly carved walking trails. We are now in the process of final grading and seeding and continuing this spring\summer we will be adding distance markers along the trails and a Trail Head outlining the area and the walking distances to expect. This is a beautiful area and we hope you will get out and enjoy it!

Curfew

No person 21 or under is permitted to roam the community after 10 p.m. Parents, please make sure your children are home by 10 p.m. If you see teenagers on the streets after curfew please call the local police immediately and then call the office and leave a message (which is time and date stamped) with as much info as you can provide.

Door-To-Door Solicitation

Water Wheel does not allow any door-to-door solicitation. If anyone comes to your door selling goods/services please report them to the office immediately and we will handle it. If the office is closed please contact your Block Captain. This includes gas rate solicitors, satellite TV services, food sales, etc. This year for the first time we have a 1 (one) day pass we can issue to people APPROVED by the office to go door-to-door, like census takers. If someone has been approved by us you will see this pass around their neck signed and dated by the office.

Earn FREE Rent

If you know someone who is looking for a home let us know! If your referral results in the sale of a park owned home you will receive 3 months FREE rent! To qualify you must give us the name of your prospect before they contact us and the sale must close within 90 days.

Community Yard Sale

It’s time once again to get rid of all your unwanted clutter! This year our community yard sale will once again coincide with the 7th annual US12 yard sale that spans Michigan Ave. At this time the sale is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, August 13th & 14th from 8am to 5pm on your lot. In addition to the “US12 yard sale” ads we will advertise in the local papers and you may pick up a ‘YARD SALE’ sign at the office. Please watch the mail house and our website for details as the date gets closer.

The Swimming Season

The swimming season is almost upon us once again. We are currently planning to have the pool open by Memorial Day. Pool passes are $35 for the season for your entire household. PLEASE NOTE: There is no swimming allowed without a pass.

Your Household Counts!

Have you completed your census form and mailed it in? If not you only have days left to send it. Beginning May 1st, census takers will begin to go door-to-door collecting the information from those who did not respond. They should be wearing our new “Approved Solicitor” pass and if not please refer them to the office to get one. If you have not received your form please call 1-866-872-6868.
